Week 10

Dear Parents,

This week we covered the following:

English

· We have started learning about the writing process. Prewriting, Drafting, Revising, Proof reading and Publishing

Reading

· New words: all, called, eat, eating, every, first, never, paper, shall, why, fixed, Jack’s, licked, yelled

· We read the following stories: Ham and Eggs, Miss Jill’s Ice-cream Shop, Making Ice-cream.

· On Friday we made ice-cream: the recipe can be found at the following address: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Ice-Cream

Math

· Unit 2 Introduction

· Lesson 5.1 – Count on to Add

· Lesson 5.2 – Use a Number Line to Add

· Lesson 5.3 – Use Doubles to Add

Social Studies

We have started Social Studies. Our first unit is My School

· We watched “Lion and Mouse.” We discussed what it means to be a good friend and how we can be a good friend.
