Dear Parents,
From speaking to your children, it is clear how much they enjoyed being with Mr Saki Marais, who taught them from Monday to Wednesday last week. Thank you to Mr Marais for helping out in my absence.
This week we started our new theme in Social Studies, City and Suburb. As an Art project I would like to make a class city. Please can you collect and send boxes of different shapes and sizes to school by Friday, 21 January. The class will be divided into groups to build their cities.
We will also look at the different forms of transport one finds in a city. For Oral Presentations, next Wednesday 26 January, please help your child prepare a one minute presentation about the transport one finds in a city. A poster may be helpful for your child to remember what they are going to say.
The following questions might help you to formulate the content:
1) What kind of transport do we find? For land, sea, and air
2) Examples of the different forms of transport
3) Where did you take that form of transport?
4) Your favourite form of transport and why?
